Skycolor Clock

At Stochastic Labs, a TCS34725FN color sensor was installed in a south-facing window and continually recorded high-resolution color data over a period of months. The Skycolor Clock is one experiment in visualizing the resultant data. The clock reproduces the sky color at a particular time on an LED display. A dial allows exploration of how the color changes with time.

This is an experiment with the temporal and luminous aspects of capturing and reproducing light, and an investigation into the perceptual qualities digital sensors destroy, as well as the qualities they may enhance.
